Type of keyword in SEO:

Short tail keyword: It supposed to be less than 2, 3 words.

Long tail keyword: it will be more than 3, 4 words.

The best place to implement keyword:

  • Add Keywords in the<metaname=”description”>.
  • Insert Keywords in the<title>tag(s).
  • Keywords in the<metaname=”keyword”>.
  • Keywords in <h1>orotherheadlinetags.
  • Keywords in the<a href=”http://yourcompany.com”>keywords</a>linktags.
  • Put Keywords in alt tags.
  • Keywords in the URL or website address.

 

Meta tag-

In the Meta tag section, you have written according to your keyword.

There is three type of Meta tag: Meta title, Meta description, and URL for the website.

 

Meta title:

Meta title tag tells a search engine what your webpage is about.

The length of Meta title is 70 characters.

Include your focus keyword in the title tag that helps you to optimize your website.

Meta title tag lies between an opening and closing tag of HTML code.

Meta description:

The Meta description on your webpage tells search engine more about what each page is about.

The size of Meta description will be 320 characters.

Heading tags:

Provide a suitable heading tag for the webpage.

Heading tag must be in <h1>heading</h1> this format.

Put the focus keyword in heading tag.

There are six heading tags which lie between h1 to h6.

 

Image tag:

Also called an alt tag, refer to an image name.

The image tag is used to tell a search engine what image is about.

Syntax:

<img src=”image path” alt=”Name of Image”>

 

Page speed:

Check the page loading issue or speed using page speed tool.

To check page speed there are multiple tools available online like GTMetrix, Pingdom etc.

 

Internal linking:

Interlink is a type of linking on a page to another page such as an image or documents on the same website.

Example:

<a href=”#see”> Go to the see also section </a>

 

Sitemap:

Create a sitemap of your website to understand web crawler as well as users.

There is two type of sitemap:

XML sitemap– it helps web crawler to index a webpages.

Html sitemap– this type of sitemap helps a user understand website internal links.

Use sitemap generator tool for creation of website sitemap.

 

Broken links:

It may happen when your website contains broken links, find them and fix it.

 

Redirection method:

Redirection method is used to send web crawler and user from one location to another location.

There are two methods:

301 redirection: Refers to a permanent redirection method where one URL permanently moved to another URL

302 redirection method: Temporary redirect one URL to another URL.
